How are tungsten-halogen bulbs are different from incandescend bulbs?

A incandescent has a carbon filament with argon gas. A halogen is about the same except it has halogen gas that redeposits the burnt off carbon back onto the filament(halogen cycle). Halogen burns brighter and puts of more lumens for less watts.
