This white guy called me a REDBONE..is that good?

ok i dont know the definition of that, really. but theres this guy name seth ive been crushing on (he's white) and i asked one of his guy friends to ask him what he thought of me and seth said " AYE i like myself a redbone " so what is it exactly?? cause alot of people have callled me that in the past. and i hear it has to do with being mixed? well im not mixed as a matter of fact my parents are both straight from africa(CONGO)..but oddly we(me,mom,dad) have light skin and i have thick dark brown hair.
